Serving others is noble. Images portrayed in the movies and on television would lead you to believe the opposite and that being served is noble. This depiction of receiving is not truly noble. Having worked in the long-term care profession for 26 years, I have witnessed hundreds of thousands of hours of service to the elderly. Truly noble acts are ones of service. Those individuals who care for the elderly, clean their environment, attend to their needs and provide daily meals are truly noble and honorable individuals.
“One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Proverbs 11:24-25.
